SAFAPR has worked with some absolutely amazing volunteers at the Santuario de Animales San Francisco de Asis. From our humble beginnings, there is great progress so far with the help of our volunteers and what they have enabled us to accomplish. But there is still much to be done, and as friends of the animals our current volunteers must be joined by future volunteers. There are still thousands of abandoned dogs and cats still left out there in the streets, others being euthanized or run over daily, and our work is far from done.

We are located on the West Coast of Puerto Rico, in Cabo Rojo. That means it is a bit more difficult for our thousands of supporters in other parts of the island to help out. We understand that not everyone has available transportation, and we understand that projects taking place locally or at the sanctuary are preventing them from participating.
NOTE: Even if you cannot reach us to volunteer, you CAN still help. Perhaps you will consider making a donation. But just as importantly, you can help us as a Digital Volunteer!
Becoming a “Digital Volunteer” is a great solution for all of those who are interested in helping out, even if they cannot get to us. In fact, you can help us deliver our message in an amazing way from the comfort of your own home or office. We plan to provide you with several tutorials on how you can help promote us on the Internet.
