Jean Claude Van Damme cancels part of his promotional tour to take care of 7 puppies he has adopted in Bangkok, Thailand.
Jean Claude Van Damme, martial arts action star is certainly known much more for his high kicks and famous full horizontal splits than he is for his love of animals.
However, on the eve of his promotional tour for the movie JCVD, an exciting new movie that may put Van Damme’s career back into the mainstream like it was in the early 1990s, Van Damme canceled his tour.
He recently adopted 7 dogs in Bangkok, Thailand. One of those dogs has slipped into a coma and he’s refusing to leave them.
They are calling his new movie a “fictional biopic“. It looks more like a “pseudo reality action/drama biopic“. However, whatever you choose to label his new movie, it looks like the real drama is happening right by his side in Thailand. And the animal movement could only hope that we get more information about those 7 puppies he is taking care of.
Van Damme has taught us lessons of human possibilities before such as what the human body is capable of in terms of flexibility and conditioning. Now he is teaching us about the possibilities of the human mind, and how we can re-prioritize our off-track ideas on the “order of importance” of things in our lives.
He’s not promoting a new movie that is set to breath new life into his career. Instead, he’s helping keep the breath of life in 7 puppies.
Maybe you can follow Van Damme’s lead in a small way. We challenge you to donate the price of 1 movie ticket for each member of your family to help the animals of Puerto Rico.
